Adega Mayor
WINE LABEL
The Festas do Povo of Campo Maior are a unique cultural celebration, where tradition is collectively expressed through the transformation of the town’s streets into a vast floral setting. Thousands of handmade paper flowers, produced by the local community, create an ephemeral visual experience defined by colour, repetition and intricate patterns.
To celebrate the 2026 edition, Adega Mayor — a wine brand founded and based in Campo Maior — commissioned us to create a limited-edition label, exclusively available during the festivities in the town. The objective was to establish an immediate connection with the celebration’s visual universe, reinterpreting its traditional codes through a contemporary, graphic and relevant language for today’s audience, while maintaining consistency with the brand’s identity.

CUSTOM TYPEFACE
The Concept
The concept emerged from a dialogue between memory and contemporaneity. The historic Festas do Povo posters served as the visual reference, informing the reinterpretation of their colours, shapes and typographic elements.
The flowers were redesigned through a geometric construction and arranged into a vibrant pattern, creating rhythm and movement across the label while remaining aligned with Adega Mayor’s graphic language. As a central element of the composition, a custom typeface was developed, inspired by the lettering of the historic posters, giving the edition its own visual identity and reinforcing the connection between local heritage and contemporary design.
